Private Pilot Oral

Practice with perspective

Terms of use

These proposed terms describe use of Private Pilot Oral, an independent educational ChatGPT plugin, and this informational website.

Educational use

The plugin provides scenario-based oral practice for FAA Private Pilot airplane single-engine land topics. It is not an FAA-designated examiner, a flight instructor, a certification service, or an operational flight briefing. It does not issue endorsements, log training credit, certify airworthiness, or establish flight proficiency.

Use your own judgment

AI-generated questions, citations, interpretations, and assessments can be incorrect or incomplete. Verify consequential information against the applicable current regulations, publications, aircraft flight manual and supplements, and qualified instruction. Do not use the plugin as an emergency-response service or as the basis for conducting a real flight.

Aircraft and scenarios

The default 1978 C172N is a hypothetical study aircraft. A publicly hosted POH is not a substitute for the current, applicable manual and records for an actual airplane. Fictional weather, airport details, loading figures, and malfunctions are training inputs, not current operational information.

Assessments

Feedback describes the answers observed in a limited practice session. It is not an official FAA score or a guarantee of checkride readiness or success. Users may ask the examiner to revisit an assessment and its sources.

ChatGPT and third-party services

Use requires access to ChatGPT and the plugin. Availability, voice features, search tools, and any ChatGPT subscription charges are determined by the applicable platform offering. This website has no checkout or purchase flow. OpenAI's applicable terms govern use of ChatGPT; other linked services have their own terms.

Responsible use and materials

Use the tool lawfully and only share material you have permission to provide. Do not misrepresent its outputs as an FAA approval, instructor endorsement, or completed practical test. Linked publications belong to their respective owners; linking to them does not grant permission to redistribute them.

Availability and limitations

The plugin is provided for practice without a promise of uninterrupted availability or error-free results. Features and source links may change. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Updates

A final public version of these terms will state its effective date. Changes will be posted on this page.
